Champagne …. A unique appellation

A well-known appellation throughout the world

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015, Champagne is world famous for the beauty of its vineyard and the quality of its sparkling wines. Region and product merge into the same name, the mere pronounciation of which is enough to evoke the French « art de vivre », gastronomic and festive everywhere.

Some 33,000 hectares of vines create the incredible diversity of Champagne.

A complex specification

The « champagne » appellation is not easy to obtain.

The specifications of the AOC (Controlled designation of origin) are strict and include in particular a well-defined geographical area, around Reims, Epernay and Troyes. It also takes into account the elaboration from 3 grape varieties : Pinot noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.

Ancestral know-how or the art of assembling

The secret of champagne results above all from a precise manufacturing process, developed by ecclesiastics in the 17th century, which gives its unique sparkling character.

This know-how is nowadays perpetuated by cellar masters, subtle masters of blending grape varieties, vintages and years.

It is thanks to their unique expertise that the cellar masters create the Champagne specific blends. The combinations of blends are almost endless. The resulting organoleptic palette is incredibly varied, allowing us to transcribe your identity into a champagne.
